The Role: We are looking for a dedicated, passionate and experienced person to undertake the role of CEO of DanceSport Australia (DSA). 

This is a part time position, but a leadership role.  The CEO is expected to manage the day to day affairs of DSA, implement new policy and drive the organisation forward.The CEO will work closely with the President and the Executive to implement policy and to develop and implement new strategy and programs. The CEO will also provide day to day leadership and advice to DSA members on policies, procedures and rules, as well as managing communication and contacts with key service providers, industry contacts and other sporting and government bodies. The CEO is responsible for coordinating the work of the National Council and National Executive and the various National Commissions, as well as liaising with State Branch Boards to ensure that they meet national policy and administrative requirements.

Day to day affairs include the management of DSA registration programs, licensing of officials, correspondence and communication with members and other organisations, together with other  tasks related to the planning, organisation, management and conduct of DSA activities.

The position carries a part time salary which will increase in line with the growth of DSA and its income stream.

sound business and administrative ability
must be prepared to work irregular hours, including evenings and to attend weekend meetings.

Employment Details:
Permanent part time position.  Three month probation period.   Commencement date is 1 October 2009.
