We are very pleased to advise members that DanceSport Australia now has a National Member Protection Policy for all its members.

All of our members have a right to participate in a safe DanceSport environment and be treated with respect, free from verbal abuse, harassment, victimisation, sexual abuse and any form of discrimination, including sexual discrimination. Our junior members in particular have a right to be protected and our Policy provides special provisions related to protecting children in sport.

We have been working closely with the Australian Sports Commission to develop our guidelines, which are consistent with other leaders in our sporting environment. The Member Protection Policy will assist our members to understand their obligations and will also place DanceSport Australia in a much better position to respond. As a result of this policy development, DanceSport Australia is one of the leading sporting organisations to develop this code of practice.
